Linked to the José de Mello family for generations, Ravasqueira gathers in one single location the values of the region, the character of the wine and the art of welcoming.
Located in Arraiolos, one hour away from Lisbon, Ravasqueira stands in a vast area of Alentejo, with small dams, cork oaks, olive trees and other geological features. This is what distinguishes the region as touristic with a terroir for producing the best wine that Alentejo can offer.
The winemaking activity started in the 1990s. It currently comprises 11 vineyards and it is intimately related to wine tourism. It’s also the stage for a unique experience that includes activities such as the production of cork, olive oil and honey, as well as cattle breeding and black pork fattening.
Ravasqueira also organizes several customized programs for visits, experiences, wine courses, and offers a space where it is possible to taste the best regional gastronomy, prepared in a personal and familiar way, as well as to visit the unique Private Carriage Museum.
